Re: I finally figures how to beat Honey Elo Expert level !

I am starting to learn how to beat your Expert level of the Honey chess engine, the strategy is simply NOT to get into tactical position, and slowly squeeze a winning strategical win by searching every little advantage that you can get weather space, pieces coordination, pawn structure, and always ...

Re: There is something wrong with Honey Elo Expert setting

Didn't Stockfish already provide well defined strength level support? What's difference between Honey to it? I think that the stockfish 'skill level' setting parameter works by calculating normally and then selecting an inferior move (using MultiPV mode) whereas the Honey reduced elo / engine level...

Re: FUN with rating lists [ PART TWO]

From the web page : The oddity we see here that the CPU version of Lc0 lists second while the GPU version is at the bottom of the list. The full list plus the 4 PGN's can be viewed here. Thanks for the reply, I was forgetting about the CPU,GPU options. Incidentally thanks for releasing the rebel / ...

Re: Drawmaster Stockfish

Is the idea of developing a 'Drawmaster' engine worthwhile? For me, it is, and I hope to see it someday. With every other engine trying to find the best move in the position, it's going to be interesting to have a stupendously strong engine such as Stockfish trying to veer positions to drier, borin...

Re: Komodo Dragon vs IM Andras Toth knight odds match.

Chess engine authors are way too arrogant when they claim that their program is better than Kasparov or better than Magnus Carlsen because it's obviously just a marketing lie. Kasparov is still at least 200 elo stronger than Komodo dragon 2. Even Komodo Dragon 5 still doesn't stand a chance against...

Re: ShashChess

No: the handicap mode is based on classical evaluation. Andrea Hi So presumably this is true for all the stockfish engines and their derivatives using NNUE. If so what is the best way to play a handicapped game against these types of engines while maintaining NNUE use/evaluation? It seems that the ...

Fritz GUI rated game implementation

Does anyone know how the fritz GUI handicaps a game when playing a 'rated' game by elo? It seems apparent that if a UCI engine has a limit elo option, such as Stockfish does, then the engine controls the elo implementation, and would then be expressed according to the engines programming. But some U...

Re: Honey 13.1 is around the corner ...

Can you add NNUE switch: Pure, Hybrid and Classical? I prefer to play against some neural nets with Pure option on. Let me look , Classical is no longer as interesting since "some" of former classical eval it is now being handled by the net and some former classical code removed. So I'm thinking a ...
