Re: Where did all the posts go?

I doubt if we lose posts.
posts disappear and later appear again.

When I try to post I get error messages.
There are clear problems in the last day

Re: Junior in Elista

Just checked again and they were using terminal services so the remote server was definitively 9.1... Very odd I think that you believe too much what you see in the screen. chessbase interface is not designed to replace names of non uci engines so if you simply replace Junior9.1 engine by a differe...

Re: Who will be next WCCC champion ?

Nobody here seem to think that Deep Sjeng can win the first place everything is possible in a small tournament. Fully agree Torsten ! I think that's the main problem of the most people. They are just looking to the rating lists. They don't given much attension that it is only one game each opponent...

Re: Diep inferior evaluation

I think that the professional checker player will have no problem with it. I think that even the professional chess player should have no problem with it. Judit polgar said in an interview in hebrew newspaper that she believe that she is nothing special and she did not think that she has a special t...

Re: Diep inferior evaluation

I think that vincent is arrogant when he claims that his program has the best evaluation and I do not like this behaviour and this is the reason for my post. Well, of course, Vincent is sometimes a difficult type of human. I had my problems with him too, in direction your claiming as well. But at a...

Re: Junior in Elista

No Uri, that's not correct The screenshots show the engine pane and the actual engine that was used was 9 No The screenshot does not show the engine. I tested in the past after junior4.6 different versions of Junior4.x and the screen showed the same name even when the engine was different. The engi...

Re: Junior in Elista

According some screenshots on Chessbase web site it seems that Junior was running the 9.1 version against Deep Fritz in Elista... Was 10.1 not good enough? The screenshot only showed the interface that was used and not the engine that was used. Junior was used under chessbase interface and the prog...

Diep inferior evaluation

Hi, In the past I did a lot of Betatesting for Diep and my experience is the following: Vincent has provided Diep with a huge amount off chessknowledge. The drawback off this approach is that Diep calculates very slow. Around 200 Kn/s. on my AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+, 2200 Mhz....

Re: diep's inferior evaluation

I can add that I read in the link the following: " Diep was better, even winning, in the middle game, but it was difficult. The attack should be handled precisely and with care. For a human being that is not difficult, but for a program (at least for the current programs) this is a difficult task." ...
