I think official statement from Robert is necessary to avoid further confusion.

My guess Android will be postponed until better protection is developed for Android by Google.

Would be nice as Shredder is the only Chess app i use on my android phone.

But my favorite mobile chess app is Chess Tiger (or just CHESS) by Theron.

The Ipad App is trememdous!

Check out Chess for Android, https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... hess&hl=en. Here's a list of engines for Android, http://www.aartbik.com/MISC/eng.html, and you can have Stockfish 3, https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... fish&hl=en.

Thanks! I had Chess for Android on my phone for a bit. Shredder is better and more fun.

It is not just the strength of the engine, it also (even more so on a phone or tablet) matters how usable and feature rich the GUI is.

And I think for a free Android app, Droidfish is without a doubt tops! I do use it sometimes to play against and for analysis.

The usability factor and features are what make Chesstiger tops in the mobile chess app race. It is super fun to use for analysis, playing against and even studying master games.
