Why on earth would someone try to hack a website selling chess-stuff?

+1

I think that we're supposed to assume that somebody is bitter because they got banned or because CTF was shut down, and that every day they attack TalkChess the same way because they've only learned one hacking method.

For how many years do we now have to wait until the problem is solved ?!

Seems to be a typical catch 22 situation.

The american host blocks people. But we cannot do new elections and move somewhere else because the blocking of people stops democratical elections to repair the dilemma.

I guess this is how putin or any dictator in the world rescues his status quo of dictatorship.

Is there anyone who would be unwilling to use the Opera browser, with VPN on, to vote?

"disgusting"? You're overreacting, it is only a forum.

It is ridiculous that we should be forced to use a VPN and be subject to all the measures that are used to throw out bots, no mater if you are logged in or not. This is supposed to be a forum and not guerrilla warfare. And no I don't want to leave because at some point you have to stop running. Even if it is just a forum. This is the world today and we are going to see more of it. I mean it is not just this forum; https://nos.nl/artikel/2395945-eigenaar ... -aanvallen Sorry you will have to translate, it's Dutch, just an example.

Again this is our forum.
This forum belongs to the computerchess members.

As it seems the company hosting it is not capable to deal with the problems that sabotages our community.
Blocking people, even moderators or moderator candidates out of access.

Nothing changes. A disapointing failure.
