:D. I actually kept checking my emal client waiting for the link, too! My wife thought I was nuts. . :|
I just got a mail from Andrea where he told me to reinstall Chiron 5 from the same download link. It seems Chiron 5 was underperforming 10-15 elo with something called ''flag'' that he forgot to remove when compiling Chiron 5. He has now removed ''flag'' option so the engine should get additional 10-15 elo in its performance. Might be a good idea for you to reinstall Chiron 5 again and delete the old version.
I just checked my email and, sure enough, received the same instructions.

Damir, thanks for the info. I suspected there might have been a bugfix or some other issue - but wasn't quite sure.

And Ted, thanks for the tip about enabling the large pages UCI option.

no games download and strange results... (SF14 8Threads losing to Gerbil as just one example from several? oh boy)
=> just a generic pseudo arena download link https://prodeo.actieforum.com/Ryzen9%203950x%20.pgn

Code: Select all

03	Stockfish_13_win_x64_avx2 [t8] 232,5/281
04	Stockfish14_x64_avx2 [t8] 212,5/250
BTW a little math help for you (after your funny post title: "is stockfish 14 really stronger then 13?")

Code: Select all

232,5/281 = 82,74%
212,5/250 = 85,00%

Shouldnt 14 be ahead of 13 ?!

But this thread is about chiron.

The discussion about sf14 and time forfeits is here in the wrong thread.
