Watching judo this morning. Some got warnings when being too passive. I think after three penalties you lose the match.
So I thought why don't we use that when chess engines are playing too passive. So in case of a draw the engine that played too passive looses the game.

I've seen tournaments organized on lichess, where only the first draw in a series of consecutive draws is counted... Which usually makes for much sharper games
