Post by GediminasMasaitis »

4ku is an engine designed to fit into 4kb.

4ku 1.0 played in the TCEC S23 4k bonus and came second.
4ku 2.0 played in the TCEC S23 Swiss and came last.
4ku 3.0 is currently playing in the TCEC S24 4k bonus.

4ku 2.0 is currently rated 2692 on CCRL, 4ku 3.0 is scoring +167.3 +- 4.4 above that in self-play with 40+0.4 time controls. 4ku 3.0 is estimated above +300 elo over 4ku 1.0.

Congrats on winning this edition of the 4K tournament, though it is maddening to see it sometimes fail to convert KQ-k and KR-k!

In the final against ice4 it even failed to win KQR vs K and first sacrificed the rook and later drew by the 50 move rule.
ice4 was the champion and won 12.5-11.5 thanks for this game.

I can see CCRL adjudicate games and do not continue the game until mate so rating of CCRL may be wrong.
