Elo difference between Koivisto 5.0NN (1 cpu) and Koivito 4 (1 cpu) is incredible (247 elo).

I wonder if the nnue network used in Koivisto was composed by running Stockfish games.

Absolutely not.

Read their release thread to get the details of why Koivisto 5 has such a massive jump in Elo.

Beside the addition of neural network code inside Koivisto, we have 83 further elo gaining patches since 4.0.

We have not and never intend to use any Data from stockfish. Our data has come from around 1.5M self-play games played by Koivisto with a fixed depth of 8 against itself. This took around 20h on my machine and resulted in round about 70M fens.
