The monthly on-line engine blitz tourney for July will take place on:

Saturday July 17, 2:00 PM EST (Boston time), 20:00 CET (Amsterdam time)

To connect:

winboard -zp -ics -icshost nightmare-chess.nl -icshelper timeseal -fcp ENGINE.exe -fd ENGINEFOLDER -autoKibitz -keepAlive 30

(for UCI engines, add -fUCI)

People without account can submit a request for an account to admin@nightmare-chess.nl

The format will be 9 rounds Swiss 5/1

Lisebeth likes to start the tournament on top of the hour, please try to be on-line 15 minutes prior to tournament start, late joins are not supported.

By the way 5 minutes too much to win on time. Even did not make it to win a single 1 minute game on time against Stockfish13.
So looks like 55 seconds is the limit or Skippers record.

You have to add a function to your program to have it kibitz some lyrics. I remember from last time:

This time Nightmare was lucky and ended at the first place. The win against Schooner in the 3th round probably was the decisive one. I didn't change the program for several months, all you need is a good book, fast hardware and a lot of luck.

Belfish (a Stockfish derivative) and LczTinker (LC0-v0.28-rc1 on a RTX2080Ti) ended on a shared 2nd place. Nemorino came in 3th.

During the last round Goldbar messed up by trying to observe Nightmare's game while he was still playing himself, this broke something so Lisebeth had to forfeit him. Poor Bart.
