I don't think is due to pawn promotions. Looks more like a time control issue... or a GUI problem... That kind of errors where solved a looooong time ago. You can test with another time control. Something simpler: like 40/5 minutes and repeating.
Anyway, Rhetoric has a UCI option named Use Log File.
It produces a txt file in the same directory where the executable is located.
Can you enable the option? It will output all the UCI interchange.
If the problem arises again, you can send me the file and I can debug the program.
Thanks

Hi Alberto,
if I can see an own style and it's a clear own development by the programmer, no bugs and perhaps more as 2.650 Elo ... I like it all because I have fun on my PC if I can follow the games.
Such a new engine is each time really an event.
Countdown is still running ... 2 days and your engine will start in my tourney.
My BlaBla in bad english can you read in 6 days after the 1.000 games on i7 4.3. GHz, 45 minutes games.
Best
Frank

Hi Günther,
that isn't to understand for him if I read his CSS messages.
Not important!
After 1.000 45 minutes games we can see more in the stats!
