Fire 7.1

Post by kranium »

Hi all, as promised...
here is a significant maintenance release which addresses multiple critical issues, including

- losses on time in Arena GUI
- loss of communication to GUI while pondering
- multi-threading crashes with 'unknown exception' errors
- freezing/unpredictable behavior due to buffer under/over runs

It is highly recommended to upgrade any previous Fire 7 binaries to this release
Fire 7.1 has been tested up to 32 threads

Thanks to all who provided valuable feedback this last week...

It's the same with Firefox. It's needed to bypass the virus-warning ...

It can be downloaded with Edge. Bizarrely it downloads as a .txt file and you have to rename it to .7z

I have no problems downloading the link. You guys need to disable your anti virus. It is messing up your download. :o :o

I am using Internet Download Manager as download and you are not. Maybe that makes the difference. :) :)

it's virus/malware free:
https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/11022 ... /detection

but default settings in chrome block it...

This will probably help:

Click the chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
Select settings.
Open Advanced (at bottom) and find the "Privacy and Security" section.
Deselect the "Protect you and your device from dangerous sites" checkbox

Not recommended for daily use however, better re-enable it after your download.
