The only commercial product being "pirated" (does the term apply to chess games?) is the Mega Database.

In general, I wouldn't characterize that forum as a source of copyright infringement; although the private Eman engine is publicly posted on a regular basis, no money is being lost, because it's a free and private endeavour.

That said, both these recurrent themes are in contradiction with forum rules 8 and 9.

8 - Posting download links to or asking for illegal or commercial material is not allowed.
9 - Posting download links to private material without the owner's permission is not allowed.

It seems only commercial engines are protected.

implementing a "Thanks" system of points that people are forced to follow to be able to see some links, and delete their posts for arbitrary reasons.

Where exactly you saw "Thanks" system etc? If you have any problems / disagreement then write about it on the forum right away.
