The plea to new democstrocal elections in CTF gets sabotaged

Post by mclane »

By people who have no Mandat.
Sam hull implemented HGM (who was never elected in CTF)
and HGM threatens members to be banned and moderated.

There is the effort to stop racism in CTF that increased and increased because the moderators did not take any actions against it.
As it came out, there is only ONE moderator left, Sam Hull who has a Mandat although he is also ADMIN of the whole CCC/CTF.

He implemented HGM (because the other 2 moderators suddenly were GONE).

But instead of forward new democratical moderator elections in CTF to make sure the forum gets moderated of the racistic stuff,
The „Moderators“ continue to rescue the status quo of the moderators who mainly allowed racism for many months.

I would like to see CCC members support that democratical elections can be held in CTF to clean the forum frommster racistic hate speeches that were posted in the last years.

Sorry to disturb you . I know this is off topic in CCC. But it is IMO essential and we need support.
We need new democratically elections of moderators in CTF. To stop the racistic hate speeches in the forum.

Thanks.

This is complete bullshit. I just moved a discussion about how we could best hold elections now that the polling feature of this forum is broken, which was taking place in an obscure thread in the middle of an enormous amount of cruft, to an official sticky thread where it has more exposure. And which is moderated more strictly as is common usage in CTF, by immediately deleting all off topic posting and trolling.

Hi Thorsten,

please not start here a discussion about such a topic.
HGM have to answere and end of the day all the good known trouble makers produced a big thread.

We all should be a bit more sensitive use this forum, one of the lastest stronghold we have in computer chess.

Different advantages:
Most important: The admins have lesser work here!

Please use the option:
Private message or you lost your interest again for a long time.
Time can be better used with chess computers for an example.

Best
Frank

PS: Be sure that HGM try to make his job as admin.
Not possible that an admin produced 24 hours the day have allways the right decision.

Hgm is no admin,

Sam Hull is. Was never voted as an admin. He was implemented. By the shop.
Sam hull implemented HGM as moderator , never elected, implemented.

They try to save their status quo against democratical elections.

It’s a shame.

When we founded CCC 1997 (Yes, 23 years ago) we made sure the moderators get democratically elected.
It was NOT the intention that they were setup by somebody who was not elected himself.

Thorsten, genug jetzt.
Oder ich komme vorbei und nehme Dir alle Schachcomputer weg.
Dann ist Schluß mit lustig, sitzt in einer leeren Wohnung und nichts piept mehr.

:-)

BTW:
Your list of engines you like is interesting.
BugChess was great, absolutely.

We lost so many programmers but we have all his older versions and have fun with it.

BugChess vs. ETChess ...
And you will have fun for the rest of the year!

I have founded this club, in 1997 (together with others )
And now we fight for democratical elections.
We demand nothing else but democratical elections. After years of no elections,

There is nothing wrong with this demand,

23 years ago. The idea was that this forum is moderated with democratically elected moderators.
We do not want anything else now.

Sam hull implemented HGM as moderator , never elected, implemented.

The moderators asked Sam to give HG admin access to the board so he could reinstate things like Fen diagrams which did not work after the forum 'upgrade.' He has made them work again. He agreed not to use his admin access for anything other than restoring lost functions and has not done so.

Why is this thread in Computer Chess Club: General Topics and not in Forum Help and Suggestions?

The other 2 moderators in CTF walked away. Sam asked HG and me(as the only other elected mods on the board) to stand in until a satisfactory way to elect new mods could be found. The discussion on how to do that is here http://talkchess.com/forum3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=75425

Edit: Bob is of course also an elected mod but did not want to be a temporary CTF moderator.
