Fortunately....

Code: Select all

Gambit Rating List
Running : Match SF14 vs SF13
Time Control : Time control 40/120
Games : 200

Results from file gauntlet-sf14-sf13.pgn:

No. Name Win Draw Loss Unf. Score Games %
---------------------------------------------------------
  1 Stockfish 14 +28 =149 -23 *0 102.5 200 51.2%
  2 sf13 +23 =149 -28 *0 97.5 200 48.8%

Total Games: 200
White Wins: 21 (10.5%)
Black Wins: 30 (15.0%)
Draws: 149 (74.5%)
Unfinished: 0 (0.0%)

Estimated ratings for this elo 3677 pool

   # PLAYER : RATING POINTS PLAYED (%)
   1 Stockfish 14 : 3681.4 102.5 200 51
   2 sf13 : 3672.6 97.5 200 49
A bit of relief, but not good for my theory of gambit openings
This version, having a bigger, slower net, may be more sensitive to specific compiles and instruction sets. Something worth checking.
I checked the NPS of both, SF14 is even somewhat faster.

Started a match with NORMAL openings, 1749 Jeroen Noomen openings, thus 3498 games, CCRL 40/2 style.

Games do not count for the GRL.
I can see the games...but there appears to be a 'download' option...which I cannot find. How does one download all the games?
I simply want to check the black games...particularly the wins with Black. I saw 1 win by CF14 with a Dutch Stonewall!

To be honest. If there is a new Stockfish or in china a bag of rice falls down. What is the difference?!

Nobody is interested in stockfish.
This engine is as dead as fritz was under chessbase.

Open source engines are boring.
They are interesting for an academic public or for idiots who clone the sources, but for the rest they are a pain in the ass.

In earlier days it was crafty.
And any new engine was in fact a cloned crafty.

Today any new engine is a new stockfish.

So tell me what is interesting about this.

?!

Yes, he sounds like a crank needing to say something without merit.
Werewolf is right. Progress is always of note. If you prefer to wait a year or two or three and come back to check out a new version of Stockfish...you are welcome to.

The world leader ?!?
It plays like an amateur against LC0.
