Edsel has been extremely successful in short time, What with Twisted Logic getting World Rapid Chess rank 5, and catching up with Spike and other commercial engines as well. Edsel himself winning this contest after having had a long break,

Congrats Edsel, You may mark this year as the most successful and happiest year in your life and add this bit in to your journal.

Mine too :P

I'm trying something new, based on statistics about the players voting instead of statistics about the engines. Let's see if that can win me a division.

In this case, you shouldn't depend on the votes in the poll, as most of members would sometimes vote "other" in the list.

Yes, I ignore the poll and only focus on the votes by the members (Their individual predicitons.) That also means the bigger the sample, the better, and voting last gives me an advantage; this advantage is lost because I don't want to follow anyone so it would lose me a hat trick, so I'm better voting in the middle.

This is crazy stuff :), I'll stop doing it and try some other strategy when I get last place, unless first places start flowing ;)
