If Rybka were derived from Fruit in a legal way due to some agreement, then the argument about it is pointless. Christophe's post makes no accusations; he is only trying to ask a simple question as it has been subject to speculation.
"Rybka is and was always completely original. He is aware there are rumours about Fruit for a long time but never really understood where they are coming from."
which would seem to say such speculation was baseless. Forgive my lack of understanding. In any case, if he really wanted a reply, he would either e-mail him, or post in the Rybka forums. AFAIK Vas doesn't read here at all.

ChrisW has offered to forward questions asked in this forum to Vas, and as far as I understand Vas has agreed to the procedure.
I think my question is simple and a positive answer would most probably end it all. So I give it a try.

Hi irvstein1,
I have read some posts of yours in the Rybka forum that you have some ideas that could beat the mighty Rybka if you could share and collaborate with a good programmer. Maybe you should collaborate with Cristophe here. I am also interested in your idea and my engine is about as strong as that of Cristophe.

It is not an uncommon theory that Vas worked with another programmer to make Rybka 1.0. This would not be illegal in any way.

Tiger is a beutifull chess machine. Does have any sense say good bye before the endline of our targets and deals? You have done a top work. Some times we are rudes.

I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.

Counter-arguments? This isn't a debate about the meaning of life. If it's a copy, then it should be a simple affair to prove, otherwise....Terry McCracken wrote:Have you been following Bob's counter-arguments?Albert Silver wrote:Perhaps I am slow. I have reached my target: as far as I know Tiger in antihuman mode is able to resist your antichess strategies.
So if I quit, it's partly because of you!

Yes, or at least less prone to error. Though it wouldn't be the first time a program is so accused.Terry McCracken wrote:The Meaning of Life? Yes, that's easy!Albert Silver wrote:Counter-arguments?
