Sad news for us and for those close to Theo, I wish them all the best.

But physical death is a transition to another life. What is Theo doing there? Perhaps he started writing a superstrong chess engine with the assistance of the old masters? :)

Anyway Theo, I'm sure you are enjoying yourself, bon voyage!

Sad news.
Not only was he a driving force in open chess program competitions, but he was also a really nice guy (I exchanged emails with him to ask if I could use some of his code some time ago).

This feels very bitter, my condolences to his family.

Theo really was one of the good guys in computer chess, always optimistic, always with some good ideas in mind. I will never forget the 1st CSVN championship and the warm welcome especially by him. Also the games in "the one doesn't dice" are unforgettable.
Thank you Theo for all the good moments I had with you, I will miss you.
