Sorry, I just used the default settings. Apparently Xboard is not smart enough to cancel the previous move animation when a new move comes. With -xanimate it's significantly faster. But now the problem is the flashing task bar, clocks, etc. eating cpu time.hgm wrote:Where the heck did you get that idea? Sure, this is why Matthew suggested the patch to switch that off. Which is what I did with the /noGUI option, as he requested.
