I am getting these type of false alarms more and more.
Homer 2, Feuerstein, Kingsout, Mediocre, NanoSzachy...
due to compression; java compiles; newest compilers etc...
I've only ever come across one chess engine which contained malicious, intentional virus payload in the executable and that was FAFIS.

Yes,I remember the case and it was definitely intentional
The author was punishing the computer chess community for accusing him of cloning....

When I started with engine tests, the version of Fafis
was 2.5, IIRC. This is why I dont remember this case.
Few months ago, I have downloaded ccc archives and
looked speedily at them. I have not seen this either.
