No, but who cares if it´s much faster on SP than other programs on MP.
I think it is great to have a module that can find difficult mates and maybe can reduce the required storage space for EGTB's.
Well, it´s not really good for EGTB positions with only a few pieces and dozens (or hundreds) of useless moves until the mate.
Its main purpose are in fact positions with more pieces (as it usually happens in mate puzzles), where the restrictions of its special parameters can take effect.

Hi Mr. Huber,
would it be possible to get compile version of this program. The download that I have is not giving me the option to open and use the program.
This would be very much appreciated.
And thank you very much for your effort.

all programs on my site are compiled versions (i.e. executables), but they are just in ZIP format. So you have to use any unzip-program (WinZip, WinRar, 7-Zip, ...) to extract them before being able to run the programs.

Hi again,
I did unzip the file and put it in My documents but when I try to open ChestUCI.exe I get the black screen that looks like old DOS screen but no program that can be run.
Maybe somewhere I am doing something wrong. What is correct way to run the program?Could I get some additional information.
Thanks ahead.

Well, that´s the usual behaviour of every UCI-engine (and ChestUCI is an UCI-engine, as the name says ... )

The correct way is to use it in any chess-GUI which can run UCI-engines (like Arena, ShredderGUI, FritzGUI, ...).
I´m sure you have done this dozens of times before with many other UCI engines.

You can get tons of informations - just have a look at the included file ´English.txt´! :)

Thanks Franz,
it was that simple.I thought that this is separate program. It took just a few seconds to install it in Arena and things are ready for action.
Your help is appreciated also with the fact that one learns something new everyday even simple as this.

Well, as a matter of principle I don´t want to pay for it, not even if it´s only one single $!
I´ve worked thousands of hours on my different programs and I´m giving them away absolutely for free, so the last thing I would do is to pay in addition for publishing my freeware programs.
How much web space do you need, and roughly how much bandwidth do you use on a monthly basis?

Peter
I was kicked out of Chapters because I moved all the Bibles to the fiction section.

Well, not much, I don´t know exactly.
But since this 100mb host is ok for me, I definitely don´t have any need for moving my website again to another place.

Maybe you should better provide your webspace for a new Lionroad forum as reparation for having closed this site a few months ago ...

If that is the case, I better upgrade all my servers to host the 15+ illegal torrent tracker websites I have shut down, the 40+ mylivepage.com sites, and 50-60 terabytes of files I have removed.

And to think I am about to shut down probably my biggest "catch" this week.

Those could be some pretty costly reparations... :D

Could we have the exclusive before it hits the news?
