Surprised that we were not informed earlier. Condolences to the family.
Marc Lacrosse has contributed many opening books, to polyglot code, and to a lot of features in Scid. He of course has a lot more contributions to chess in general, especially correspondence chess.
I could not find a cause of his death in the certificate. Does anyone know the cause of his untimely death?

It was an heart attack...
I knew that in August but as there were 2 "Marc Lacrosse" in Belgium :

and as I didn't know who was the one in the CC field, I didn't want to report false bad news ...

So I assume that he was relatively young....anything between 40-50 years old
