Winfinder will find immediately if you set PV=2 or more :roll:
The same about Deep Fritz 8
And Dynamic 1-cpu... :roll:
Toga II 1.2.1 also finds it almost immediately with PV=2.

The big question is if 1.Bf7 also wins?Which leads to a 2 pawn advantage.
I agree that the fastest method seems to be 1.Rxg7 but some engines may prefer the slow way.

Rxg7 is the obvious guaranteed win. Bf7 gives an advantage, but your own question suggests it may not be a guaranteed win; so why play the slower way that isn't a guaranteed win?
