Such a list should be ignored almost completely. Members are capable of thinking for themselves.

It will be fairly difficult to defeat Graham's number, which evaluates to:

Truncation can be very useful!

The amusing thing for the mathematically inclined is that there is also a famous huge number (other than 64 factorial which we shall designate as "Graham Banks' Number") called Graham's number:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham's_number

Of course, with 64 chess squares on the board, 64! will come up frequently in combination and permutation analysis as tempered by divisions of other large factorial values.

So clearly, the Graham Banks' value, useful for such things as computing possible chess move counts, will have certain fascination in the chess programming hall of large numbers.

are you saying the post totals could actually be higher still if you included all forums??

I went back to somewhere in April.
I think I will go ahead with that exercise, since they have different audiences.

Well to be fair to those with high totals
my posting totals will skyrocket if you include all forums
i must have at least 2-3 more posts per day due to my involvment in the four forum chess games we have played these last several months

My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

I'll give you 64! wishes. It's the making the wishes come true that's the hard part.
