Yes, a polyglot book error caused TheBaron to resign. I offered to reply the game but the tournament director said it was not possible because at the time we were using automated pairings.

If we win the tournament, we will release right away . Otherwise there are a few issues Edsel and I want to resolve first.

Splendid!
You and Edsel you say... Hannibal is a co-project? I am sorry if I've missed this.
The latest Twisted Logic is really strong.
By the way Sam, I still have this:
LemmingMartin0.24x64.exe
You gave a few copies to us back when I was helping CCRL.
Best Regards,
Martin
Ahhh, good old LearningLemming0.24, the Martin edition (with learning removed no doubt). All the bugs in that project helped drive me into trying to form a chess programming team and abandon solo program development.
Yes, Hannibal is a joint project with Edsel. We have been working on it together for about 6 months. It has many ideas from both LearningLemming and TwistedLogic, and in my own testing has passed both programs in strength. His plan was to release one more version of twisted logic (which he did) and then add SMP support before going over to Hannibal full-time. I think I have tempted him over to Hannibal earier than planned...though he does not get out of adding SMP, it just means he is doing it to a different engine.
I must say it has been much more enjoyable working with Edsel than on my own. Our skills seem quite complementary (though I am sure he tires of cleaning up the bugs I introduce sometimes). The only problem is neither of us are great at optimization, so the program is a bit slow. Perhaps one day we will recruit a third person...
