because they decided this way, and this is ok, the reasons are clear, i agree Graham and his team, and hope that follow some other TM this too.

my opinion is i wan't see later 100 Ippolit clones with different names there

do you want see it ?

but i am not against include ones to comparing strength to each others.

i am also not against one engine that is taken ideas from other sources too, like null move pruning or late move reduction ideas, if he do it in some different kind or better, but i am against someone that do based on a strong open sources and claim as its own without to make it public again, what GPL rules telling us.

GOOD is GOOD but not for any price you can do it.

Hi Engin,

the secret is to test the IPP family too. Many people like it many people dislike it and the secret for people with dislike it is very easy!!!?

Load the database from a ratinglist, delete all what you dislike and calculate a new one.

You can do it with SWCR, database is free available.
You can add the list you like on your webpage too.

With a All-In database you have each possibilities!

Tornado 4.4 started next week in SWCR Champians League 2011 with 40 moves in 150 minutes in Group 8. Good luck for your engine!

Hi Graham,

only "a good new year" to the address of engine programmers?
OK, why not ...

From myself a clear answer:
I hope you and your family have a good new year and have many success with all what you do in 2011 too.

:-)

Hi Graham,

let him!

An user with on own opinion, not more not less!
This one is normaly!

I think you are a good fighter for your own opinion. That's fully OK. Same for the member you answered.

I do so many things so many years in computer chess. A lot of persons have problems with things I do today or in the past for different reasons.

Fully OK because not all what I do are great ideas :-)

My interest is to do a bit in computer chess and not to fight against others. But often others are thinking ... I have to fight with Frank. Each one which do a little bit have with time such problems.

Most important is to try do understand and not to search and to set such information about older messages from an other member.

This isn't OK Graham.

Hi Engin,

NO, all members should write his opinion!
If we dislike an opinion we have to accept it.

This is very easy too!

From my point of view:
Mark Young, thanks for your opinion and I am sure ... your are welcome!
I have an other but I accept yours.

yes, i know, i will be waiting the results...

come on Frank, i am not telling about of that you like a engine or do not like an engine, that is not the main what i am wrote here, may you misunderstand that little bit.

i have no problem with Houdini, if this one is included in the list too, i wrote that this is only the decision of the CCRL team only, you rules and decisions are different too, but who have interested only on those engines in the list that are lets say first 100 numbers are only Ipp engines ? where will be the other engines they have'nt strength 3000+ ? so i am sure you will be decide then because of your spare time want testing those weak engines , right ?

otherwise you will be busy with only IPP engines in your tournaments in feature, but everybody is free to do this as private.

Hi Engine,

in SWCR are at the moment 118 engine versions included. 2x IvanHoe and 2x Tornado :-)

20 updates I have to test. Have a look on my ToDo list! The problem is that more as 600 engines are available + all the older interesting engines, like Comet, Aristarch, Yace and so on.

CEGT and CCRL do a great work because many of the weaker engines are included. That's perfect for all of us.

I can't do that or I have to buy the next 10 Quad Core systems. Others have one PC only and test only the TOP-4 or TOP-8. The day have 24 hours only and to test engines on more as 2 computers 24 hours daily, over the complete year is very expensive.

I have understandings for your opinion but we should used in combination that what we get. Its good that we all do not the same things. This would be very boring.

Each work is important, each 1+1 match, each rating list and each opinion by a member!

Hey, hey ... I am _at the moment_ the perfect priest :-)

Let us not discuss about IPP family. We have so many material and so many interesting topics. Tornado for an example, you should try out Tornado Engin ... a great engine :-)

A sleeper, psst :-)

Best
Frank

See it with humor!
IvanHoe is starting in SWCR Champions-League 2011 for Bermuda because its a "Bermuda-Missing-Engine" in much other rating list.
