I do_not_need any Ippolit.
You've spoken about a bad choice of an IvanHoe version here:
http://talkchess.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 28&t=41919

Do you remember ?

So please, send the link or let it be from now on !

Best wishes,
G.S.

My clue is there is no better one or thousands in a range of +-5 points.

I've awaited that.
There is no need to fiddle with this kind of engines in future.

Code: Select all

...
4. Rybka 4.0 x64 1CPU ELO 3172 / 6142 games
-> IvanHoe 999946bh x64 1CPU  ELO 3167 /  700 games
5. Komodo 4.0 x64 1CPU ELO 3163 / 1400 games
...
"slaps rybka" ??
I do_not think so !

Best wishes,
G.S.

False.
Just that speaks for my "integrity".
There is no need to waste time on unimportant things,
spend time for the tests, therefore EOD.
Have a nice live.

Is a noticeable better one out there ?
Fore me it was clear from the outset that i have taken the false version ;-)
And that is one (the main ?) reason why testing such versions (or the program itself) is waste of time !

Best wishes,
G.S.

Gerhard, for God's sake Do what you want. But if you spend this kind of time- run the strongest of each version. It is always PeterPan's (Izak's) compiles. NO EXCEPTIONS. You have to understand, this is not what you are used to. Compiles have a different meaning. All the authors ever do is release a modified source code, so you never get a compile from them. The page where everyone thinks are the "OFFICIAL" releases is only KLO's compiles. That is it! You do what you like, i just hate to see you wasting your time.

Best,

George

PS: Please STOP REPLYING to natasha donna. That is a bigger waste of time than using the wrong compile. Look at the mess they have made of this page.

PS: Why would you not let someone teach you how to find the best compile each time- instead of just NOT running an engine. That is your loss- not theirs. If it is out there- use it. Look at my last 15 or so Ivanhoe matches. One loss in a tough match to Critter. The rest, the compiles I used walked thru Stockfish, Komodo, Rybka, Fritz 13- like they weren't even there. Compiles I used destroyed every top 10 engine they played.

I will do the same test under the strict conditions again.

Best wishes,
G.S.

Gerhard, please talk to me in private. I will send you anumber of the best compiles in version 46 and version 47, and tell you how to always get the best. But in private- not here in what natasha has turned into a loony bin. Please do not reply to anything they say again, and NEVER LOAD ANYTHING THEY DIRECT YOU TO- if you care about your computer.

I can't help people who won't let me,

Try this, from Peterpan. Usually Peterpan compiles of IvanHoe are the best.
