Yes - both Vitruvius and DeepSaros need to be set for 3CPU. When set to 4CPU, they want to use more than that.Hugo wrote:Saros also some time takes more than 4 cpu, thats what I observed.

Re: elimination tour
Thank you for that hint Graham. I will take a look at this. Especially if Saros reaches the final tournament. My hope is for Spike reaching the final. SAros produces too much crashes and I am not in the mood for replaying crashed games. Maybe I take Saros out at all.Graham Banks wrote:Yes - both Vitruvius and DeepSaros need to be set for 3CPU. If you use MinkoChess, make sure to use the author's compile. I had problems with Jim's one.

Re: elimination tour
Hello Computerchess enthusiasts
the Final Step of the KO tournament is started.
Participants are
Houdini 2.0c pro x8 (because of 8 cores)
Critter 1.6a x8
Rybka 4.1 x8
Stockfish 2.2.2 JA x8
Saros ver. 3.0 x8
round robin tour, 6 rounds = 60 games, timecontrol = 40moves / 60 minutes + 40moves / 60 minutes + 60 minutes
all engines use 8 cpu(no hyperthreading), 64 bit and sse4 if possible, no tablebases
ponder = ON
4096 MB hashtables
DeepFritz 13 gui with 3-4 men Nalimov
Grandmasterbook limit 5 moves
I hope all engines run stable.
enjoy
best regards, Clemens Keck

How post diagrams.
Hello Clemens:

From my patzer POV, 40.- Nxc5 breaks the pawn chain and is a beautiful move, impossible for me.
Congratulations for your tests. I sometimes see some of your games and they are too entertaining. Thank you for your effort!
Regards from Spain.

It is easy: you must write [d] just before the FEN string of the desired position. Please ask again if you have more doubts. Here it is if I am not wrong:Hugo wrote:Wonderfull game by Houdini vs Rybka. 41. Nb x c5! great move
