Does not work with Fritz
looks to me, after playing a game, LOT less savage than first version. Maybe a mirage?
Maybe I learned to tame the beast?

The search was improved. It's possible it's now seeing the refutations of its own attacks now, so it doesn't play them.

Gambit engines are hard to maintain.

well, then we must come back to first version. The core of a human attacking beast is that it does not presume the human side will be accurate under pressure.

That poses the question...

Can a super OpenTal be created if its search is slowed beyond the 1.0 version?! Maybe the 1.0 version is not even more aggressive because it's refuting its own attacks already!

In that case Tal would become less an attacker than a dumb guy crushing the head in a wall. Maybe it is a matter of evaluating in such a way that even if a score is bad in one line, it is kept IF the number of deadly lines FOR the human to examine is great, I mean, IF there are lot of chances the human can take the wrong path. Precisely those are the kind of situations where we are doomed. Too many things to see, time running out, etc
The opposite is the one branch tree, where it is known from the beginning what the other side will answer.

It was really funny to play against v1.0.

What are the main differences between OT and Junior, Chess System Tal, and Gambit Tiger ?
There are good Rebel personalities that play attacking games too.

I´ll try v. 1.1.
