I wouldn't consider FRC "a form of chess".

I guess you would consider King with a Shotgun "a form of chess" as well.

Actually after the King has shot his guns it's just a normal chess game, just like after castling is no longer possible Chess960 is just a chess game, so what's the difference?

Yes ... maybe a more accurate description would a "chess variant". The main difference I see where Chess 960 is not just a different type of chess is that I think on many of the positions there are forced wins for one side. Maybe if Chess 960 picks up some of these starting positions will be discovered. With Classical chess, it does seem that the starting position is a draw.
