Any reason why you use a CB product ?Peter Berger wrote: ↑Tue Jun 16, 2026 1:19 pm Thanks for the release!
I'll do the boring reports:
1.) Book bug not fixed yet
2.) Version management:
Both downloads want to be named Chess System Tal 2.05 as engines. Interfaces like ChessBase can't handle that, users have to interfere. It would be nice if the engines would announce their exact name and networks by themselves.
You should have learned in the many years by now that CB is holy crap.
The whole company has been sold to Kasachstan.

Re: Chess System Tal 2.05 upgrade
I can explain.
I use the GUI that came with Fritz 17. After accepting updates for a while (to get the most relevant bug fixes), I eventually stopped updating. My experience was that some updates fixed existing issues but also introduced new ones, so I preferred to stay with a version whose behaviour I know very well.
Is the interface completely bug-free? No. But it is very stable for the way I use it, and I am familiar with all of its quirks by now. Usability is pretty good as well. So why change?

Hello,
Would it be possible to compile in SSE41 or the new Universal compilation system? Thank you, as my PC does not support AVX2.
Have a good day and God bless!
