My abilities where OK when I posted about Kaissa, Patriot, Deep<9>, Fafis, Strelka, Rashess and Demon just to name a few.

But I am not able to proove that Ippolit is no clone. I just can show you the diferences.

If you stop claiming it is a clone, there is no need to argue with you :)

while i have you...
you mentioned in a earlier post that you were once(or are now) a forum moderator
in some other thread elsewhere here it was mentioned that you post on some clone/warez site or something like that
so i was just wondering

how does it work on a clone site from a mods standpoint..if you know

do they not allow links to legal engines or something along those lines?
:P

Curious Regards

Dear Steve,

I NEVER posted or was in any way active on a warez site. Also not on a site where clones are supported.

I was Moderator on Franks Chess Page Forum and later on the Arena Forum.

I never supported clones, in fact I always fight against clones, I even discovered some. But I learned that I have to show evidences before I call an engine a clone. That's what I miss in the Ippolit issue.

Just because of my presumption of innocence I get attacked by people who say "Your hacker friends", "Supporting Cloners", even "You want to destroy computerchess". To say it clearly: This is all bullshit.

You as moderator should protect me from this kind of attacks instead of believing it...

Kind regards,
Alex

actually i was not making any statement about you personally
i was just wondering if you knew how it works on sites like that
if not then my apologies for directing the question to you and i do not believe anything written about you that you would deny

anyone who might know can answer..
i wonder if they even have moderators on those type of sites
i mean what would they have to moderate?
members accusing each other of authoring legal engines?
do they perhaps post polls asking that links to legal engines be allowed?
just curious if sites like that are a kind of completely opposite bizarro world to this one

Exactly, there should be a rule against calling an engine illegal /a clone without providing evidence go back up that claim.

Well,I remember a recent fragment of the CCC history when it caused you a big problem to mention the word clone and tag it to a particular engine without any proof....
It looks like Rybka has it's own standard regarding this issue....
