There used to be good competition from a Danish rider - can't recall his name.
Must say that I used to enjoy Stockcar racing at Waikaraka Park more though, especially the team races, where some of the team members were assigned to try and disable or block the opposing team's cars allowing the faster car/s in their team a better run.

Now the only well known NZer in motorsports that I can think of is Scott Dixon.
