Even I am not an expert,I am damn sure that there is a way to protect the bandwidth from being stolen....Graham Banks wrote:Yes - this I feel was the reason behind Leo's and Guenther's decisions.Dr.Wael Deeb wrote:Using their bandwidth is a pure sample of thievery and can't be tolerated....Tony Thomas wrote:It isnt ridiculous if they are using your bandwidth...Also, like Microsoft, convekta or Chessbase, Leo and Guenther doesnt make any money.terminator wrote:Maybe some growing up is needed from those who run chess sites. I didn't know the Argentinian site and even now that it has been named there is nothing there for me to see or visit it in future. Should Microsoft, ChessBase, Convekta etc stop making software because a few of their property has been stolen and ignore millions upon millions of legitimate customers?
I only visit the mainstream chess sites because many of them link to each other. Sure the likes of Superchessengine could be cleaned up/updated a bit but to close your site down because of a site that 99% of chess players have not heard of is rediculous.
I wonder if there's a way that they can safeguard against this happening without having to close those pages?
Unfortunately....
