(and of course to all authors of legitimate engines, no matter how strong).
We were almost forgotten lately.
The programmers of engines of all strengths deserve our support and gratitude. Don't ever feel discouraged.
It seems "strength" has surpassed all else in interest.
I would think for most players just having different engines that play unique styles would be more interesting to study. Some of the "lesser" engines are more colorful
With open source we will reach a time in the future where all top engines will play the same
Besides most engines beat %99.9 percent of us anyway. Can't let all the science ruin the "art"
Can you speak for yourself please

I'm just saying ....
If I was Vas I would not release Rybka 4 until being completely sure it couldn't be hacked/disasembled and source code published as it happened to Rybka 3.

Of course
I am astonished regarding the brain wash procedure this guy has applied to his customers....I mean even his lies are obvious, there are still people who believe in him....
Rybka 3+ wasn't released as he promised, then he lost the Rybka 3 source code and that's why he won't release Rybka 3+,not that he don't want to,it's just he can't....what a sore loser

lol, no such thing as hack proof, not unless a new machine language is invented. And that too will be hacked

I would advice Rybka to quickly get used to being 3rd or 4th.
RobboLito MP and Igorrit may soon top the league for long.
Matthias.
In terms of Historical perspective
Rybka has lead the rating race for about 4 Years(Dec.2005-Dec.2009)
so about 4 years in total..
however this pales in comparison to Richard Langs commercial chess engines which were the strongest engines that money could buy for 7 consecutive years
1985-1991
