Actually 37 Rxe6 is a very good defensive attempt. That knight had to go. It can either be Houdini can hold the position.

Let's see.

A very interesting ending. Black really should win, but maybe Houdini can make a Houdini escape.

After 40.Nxg5 Rybka gives -1.06 and Houdini -0.57.

White is a pawn down but its pieces are well coordinated now (differently from before).

It can indeed be that Houdini can hold the draw.

Even if it will lose anyway the chances are much better now than they were some time ago. I'm not so sure Rybka should have allowed to exchange the knight in that fashion (with exchange of queens and activation of white pieces).

Even in this end game surprising tactics.
Black plays Ra8 and Rh8, could be the winning maneuver!

Rybka and Houdini however have completely different evaluations about the position. Who will be the right one?

(My guess is that the "evauation" is somewhat in between, I think Houdini is a little too optimistic here, but maybe not; damn, chess is so complicated).

EDIT: Yep, I guess Houdini was indeed too optimistic (or pessimistic, it depends from which point of view you want to see the thing; I've noticed it happening in other cases as well; the evaluation suddenly "jumps up" even when the moves played are within the main line).

A very good game by the Rybka Cluster!
The Caro-Kann scores 2-0 for Black, quite amazing.

Yes, white is toasted now.

So the end score is 4.5-1.5, right? It has been a very good match, and I guess that Rybka got the point finally, so one can see from the match whatever one wants to.

Hard to understand end-game. That last black pawn on a5 is worrying.

Edit, meaning a KRRKRP is not an easy task to win.
