IPON and other great lists will surpass these lists that have had their time.
Actually, you would be surprised how little it takes to bribe some people from CCRL/CEGT. A few free Rybka engines, a personal email form the programing god himself. The next thing you know, you are in the fanboy club.

And is not Rybka.
Can you actually name even one person who is mislead by their tests?

I think that everyone knows which engine is strongest.

OK, some truly stupid people, or some who have not bothered to check may not know. But nothing matters for these persons anyway.
Hi Dann

CCRL/CEGT testers certainly give people wrong impression and are

deceiving the public. Their job is to test all engines available not make

any difference, what engines should and should not be tested, because of

some rumours, legallity and origin where these engines come from.

It is disgusting to watch, much less look at their weekly engine updates

and Houdini is not among them. This is done deliberately to keep people

in dark and promote the interests of the people who are making money.

( by selling people obsolete&buggy engines for years+ promising there

will be a fix, but never lived up to their word. )

CCRL/CEGT are no longer independent testing group. Whatever

credibility they had, they have lost it, because they have taken a

side of commercials.

PS: I agree it is easy to find out which engine is the strongest, but it does

not make the whole issue any easier on Houdini and other Ippolite

engines, since the legallity of their origin is questioned by the so called

$$ testing groups..

We are not paid. We don't even ask for donations. It is our hobby, not a job.
What engines we decide to test is our own business. We do what we do for fun and make the culmination of our results available in rating lists for those who wish to view them.
People can choose to look or to ignore. There are other rating lists that you can look at if you want to see the Ippo engines.

Cheers,
Graham.

Hello Graham,

Y'know, it is possible to have an approach where you at least try to be fair.

Then you can take your approach.

For the record, there is a personal attack in your post followed by an outrageous lie.

De Vos has been sanctioned before. Perhaps he will be again.

Protected? Hardly.

Treated as how you would treat him were you a mod?

Probably not, but then, am I obliged to become a clone of you?

Goodness no!

Later.

Do not you take a part in the misinforming process publishing rating list of selected engines not giving full information about missed engines ?

I doubt that you'd ever have allowed such crap in the Winboard forum, but you seem to be a changed creature these days.
