But it makes a big fun to work with such a good MacBook Pro.smatovic wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 10:30 am Anandtech's dive into M1 Pro and M1 Max:

M1 Max with 30W for CPU and 60W for GPU under load, with ~10 TFLOPs for GPU, sounds good for a mobile SoC, but that Apple has yet no ARM based chip and no own GPU solution for its Mac Pro workstation speaks for itself IMHO.
Further the OpenCL support on M1 seems crippled:

and Apple starts supporting Blender for an own Metal GPGPU rendering backend:

doubt that a Lc0 Metal backend is on their wish-list.

Oh for god sake, go somewhere else with this nonsense Apple fanboyism. This is a computer chess forum and Apple hardware discussions should be limited to its performance in computer chess. We got it, you are in love with Apple hardware, but this is a second thread you are outright trolling.Hai wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 11:16 pmBut it makes a big fun to work with such a good MacBook Pro.smatovic wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 10:30 am Anandtech's dive into M1 Pro and M1 Max:
