this post is complete nonsense
Graham Bank has graciously accepted the job as Neutral and that is perfectly fine with me and i do "like it much"

Steve
You can be the neutral party if you want. You just won't be accessing our hidden forum.

Capiche?

Christopher
more nonsense
will you allow Graham to access your forum or you dont trust him either?
if you also dont trust Graham then suggest a name you do trust
someone not on the Conkie Chess team
Steve
Anyone you choose (yourself, Graham, Sarah Palin......) can be the neutral party but they won't be accessing our hidden forum. And....it's the CCC/CTF Chess team OK?

All Hiarcs need do is tell us their members in their team, I trust them (although I'm beginning to wonder) and we will tell them our team members.

Admit it.....you just don't like fairness.
I hate to say this Christopher, but I saw this coming, which is why I thought this whole thing was a bad idea. It seems a "friendly" game just isn't possible. So frustrating, because I would really enjoy following it (but not participating). How can we reduce the competitive aspect a little and make it more fun ?

I agree Ray. I thought it would be a good idea originally. You know what is funny? If I had not told them about our hidden forum (just like Hiarcs have always had one) they would be none the wiser.

The thing is we would all post our votes here in CCC as could anyone else. Also anyone in CCC could contribute. We want it to be fun for everyone. Hiarcs seem to be taking this rather serious and when we set ourselves up just like them they complain.

It seems to be a case of do as I do, not as I do.

well now you are accusing me of potentially cheating
you wont accept Graham and you wont even offer the name of someone you do trust to act as the neutral
the idea of a neutral party make no sense if there is no access to the analysis forum..
i mentioned the idea of secrets thread as early as July 9th in the Mod forum(thats twice i mention this point now)
it is not a great leap in thinking ability to put the two together
secret thread..neutral party

the initial challenge does mention the possibility that if you want to change the terms in anyway that you should alert the Neutral party or one of the team captains

i suggest you mention that you do not want to allow access to your secret forum to anybody..it will be up to the Hteam Captains to either accept or reject your change in terms

i am out of this from this point forward

i agree Ray
i thought a game of chess would be great for this forum
HELD on this forum..not just the cold moves and game diagram
but the analysis and players thoughts as well
thats what makes it fun
all Chris needs to do is agree to a mutually acceptable neutral and the game can go on

I accused you of nothing of the sort. Don't even bother trying to be the poor hurt wee soul with me.

It is you who is rewriting the challenge to suit whatever agenda you have.

Also...there is NOTHING written by you in the Moderators forum that says a neutral party will access both hidden forums and even if there were.....it is NOT in the challenge that was accepted.

You are making it up as you go along......

Very strange. I wonder why.....

I have repeatedly told you that the game will be conducted in the CCC.

You say you don't like cold moves but that is exactly what the Hiarcs team will do.

Also we won't be doing a poll here. We will be counting votes that are posted so we know who they are posted by. It would help if the Hiarcs team was not faceless and in general....nameless.

enough
i posted in the mod forum about the Secret thread and that Hiarcs would be using one and i posted about the possibility of asking Sam to create one here..all back on July 9

i did not make a post about an EXACT connection between the neutral party mentioned in the Challenge and access to the Secret thread
to me that is obvious even to the most casual observer but i guess i was wrong about that because apparently you could not make that connection and cant even now make the connection

IMHO you have hijacked the game and taken the most interesting aspect of the game(Discussion and analysis) to another forum and are refusing to offer anyone acceptable to you to act as a neutral party
you can have your opinion and i have mine
other members can formulate their own opinions as to what happened to this game

You did not make ANY reference to the fact that a neutral party should access both hidden forums, either inexactly or at all, and if previously that had been agreed to, i am certain that you would not be the ideal candidate.

And exactly what analysis will we see from Hiarcs?

Where can we see their most interesting contribution? Can we see their analysis?

Your opinion is worth zero if all you can think about is your own selfish requirement that our analysis (note just 7 voters) should be conducted in full sight. The only hijack taking place here is the one by you the supposed "neutral" observer.

I am 100% sure that members here can work out the difference between a place we cannot access as opposed to a place that everyone can.

You know it comes as no surprise to me whatsoever that you have misinterpreted what is fair.

You seem to be rather adept at misinterpreting things recently.

You think you are neutral....I think you are misguided.
