Yes, Rybka seems still a very long way to go for improvements, Larry has been talking about improving evaluation dramatically, and Vas said that Rybka is just in early stages and that in some cases her search is very inefficient. I think that Rybka 4 will make the gap to 2nd place even bigger, though I still see no reason for a different programmer to not catch and surpass Rybka if the improvement space is still this big.
