After the good Expositor, Ethereal Proteus NNUE is playing right now against ArasanX by the mythic Jon Dart , confirming the strength of both engines.
..Since Torch 2 is a ghost, I'm spreading to the public the name of the other Andrew's jewel. I'm Ethereal fan #1, note that Ethereal is before Proteus
Thrilling challenge against ArasanX ! After 27 games the score is 13.5-13.5, So the EXTIMATED rating Classical 25+1 of Ethereal Proteus NNUE is 3426 ELOaccording to CEGT Rating list, (not to Lichess.org unreliable rating) only ~100 ELO less than Rubichess 240112 (2518 ELO) and Ethereal 14.25 NNUE (2532 ELO) and I have only tuned the time management and the UCI settings, until now
Ethereal Proteus NNUE vs Rubichess 240112 (2518 ELO) - Classical 25+1 Match
Same 30 mb opening book - 1-2 MN/s engine speed - Tablebases 6 man for both - Crashed & lost-by-time games discarded
Rubichess 240112 (no mods) is losing a lot of games by time, even on 25+1 time control, so I've restarted the test using 25+5.
It always use all the time available, and that is bad since if on servers there is a lag it cannot manage those critical situations.
Despite both Andreas think, a lot of people is playing bullet and blitz on servers. Probably nobody uses their engines for this issue
Started a new online challenge against Jay Hannold's Berserk 13 (3751 ELO #4 on SPCC only behind Stockfish-dev, Stockfish 16.1 and Torch 2). Until now only one lost game for my engine, and Berserk 13 is perfectly stable, never losing for time even with no increment after every move, so it's not my or a Lichess.org lag issue
NOTE: This time I have experimented some crashes with Ethereal Proteus NNUE, leading to lost games. I have removed them, but you can verify the complete related Lichess.org games history, that obviously I cannot alterate.
