Re: Myracle GUI
Hi Martin!
If I let an engine with a persistent hash- feature play in Myracle and give
setoption name Persistent Hash Load (which appears in GUI as a button)
as a UCI- option in GUI (the syntax with setoption works in console like this) by checking the corresponding button once,
will the already before the match saved hash get loaded each time, the engine is reloaded for its next game?
E.g. in Fritz it works like this by defining the load- feature with checking the button in match- options of the engine only once at start of the first one game, regards

Myracle reloads engines before each game
yes, if you put "setoption name Persistent Hash Load" in init strings for the engine then it should always apply the option
when the engine loads (assuming it's an UCI engine of course) - and this will apply to each game too

Re: Myracle GUI
I notice that under Analysis there is an EPD option, but it is grayed out.
Is it a future enhancement or something that requires another action to activate?

Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

yes, you need to open an epd suite firstDann Corbit wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2026 7:49 am I notice that under Analysis there is an EPD option, but it is grayed out.

Re: Myracle GUI
build 104 is up:
sadly it seems that defender on VT "detects" this binary yet again, I won't obsess with it anymore because there's nothing I can do anyway
Code: Select all
- fix (cosmetic): pgn termination comments now correspond 1:1 to termination tag
- fix: when starting a new game against an engine from a FEN, book combo is no longer grayed out
- new feature: swiss tournament type (no advanced edits/game replays possible)
- uses a virtual bye engine that always resigns if number of players is odd
- top seed always starts with white (no coin toss)
- simple greedy top-down pairing with backtracking
- tries to balance white/black but doesn't enforce strict rules like max 2 consecutive games with the same color

Re: Myracle GUI
If the navigation arrows are not shown, is there a way to go to the beginning (before first move)? I don't see a way with UI. I tried arrow keys on the keyboard etc, didn't find a possibility. Something I am overlooking? Thx. Use case was, the book panel is shown and I wanted to see the move distribution prior to move 1.
EDIT: I found it, I can click right before the first move, on the "1."

Re: Myracle GUI
either that or it's possible with the keyboard too (home or end), but the move list needs keyboard focus first (you may need to click the movelist first)tapio wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2026 10:34 am If the navigation arrows are not shown, is there a way to go to the beginning (before first move)?
