Not a ponder hit ...

BigLion has no clue what's happening.
2 more moves and we'll know if he is aware that the game is almost over.
Let us stop when BigLion's score drops below -4.00 :) .

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

OK. After -4.00, the road to checkmate is short, anyway

Matthias.

i wonder if it makes any sense to start talking about the next game (if any) so we can have something ready when this one does end
we can start another thread to discuss it if there is any interest in playing a third forum game

my personal preference would be for the forum to take on Bob's Crafty cluster and teach it a thing or two about chess in another 960 game
:P
there are two chances of that game happenning:
1.slim
2.none
so i will toss out as a first suggestion..
a consultation 960 game ..
BigLion and one of my dedicated computers in tandem V the forum
BL and myself get white
Bl makes all of the moves until we Castle(none of my computers can play a proper 960 game) and then we alternate moves
obviously Ray operates BL when it is on the move and i operate the dedicated model when it is on the move
cuts our workload in half so to speak
of course any other proposals are more then welcome
or ..we can just call it a day..the forum team posts a 1-1 lifetime record and disappears quietly into the night...

Easy Come..Easy Go Regards

Problems: I think

1) - Ray's computer and human hardware want to rest
2) - Ray wants to play now in forum team.
3) - people now want something much stronger than BigLion.
4) - tandem play is exciting but has no ponderhits to speed up game.

A chance for revenge against that thing that beat us would be good. Same conditions as last time. However, I can well understand it if you don't want to risk killing it through overuse.

yes the R30 put in a sterling non-stop performance for 2 straight months with only one Glitch(which had me on wits-end until i corrected it)
i wouldn't want to press my luck having it working for any long periods of time
anyway there seems to be sufficient interest in a third forum game so i will start another thread to discuss our options
