I can never get anything out of this, CAN I?!Theo van der Storm wrote:All games for the time being on:

I always get excited when I see that the games are put up, but then it speaks about technical things which I cannot access.
I'm not using my own computer, and I cannot play around too much.

Can anybody confirm that the games are simply downloadable or provide an error message?Theo van der Storm wrote:All games for the time being on:

Can you download and save the raw PGN at the official site:S.Taylor wrote:I can never get anything out of this, CAN I?!Theo van der Storm wrote:All games for the time being on:

If the problem is in the saving, use my link and try saving to another disk, floppy or memory stick.

When I pressed save, it probably saved something somewhere. When I press find, it brings some error notice, file unknown etc.Theo van der Storm wrote:Can you download and save the raw PGN at the official site:S.Taylor wrote:I can never get anything out of this, CAN I?!Theo van der Storm wrote:All games for the time being on:

Hello Stuart,
If you right-click on the download link and then select "Save target as" you should see, in Internet Explorer, a window where your computer intends to save the .pgn file. You can change the destination and the name of the file if you want. The computer you are using probably does not know the .pgn extension but it should be able to save the file somewhere. Opening this file you can use right click and then choose Notepad, Wordpad or maybe a wordprocessor if there is no chessprogram available on the computer. The pgn is just a text file with the games, so any text editing program should do. I hope this solves some of your problems?
Regards, Eelco
