World Class Multiprocessor Chess Engine, New Computer Chess

Deep Delta is being designed to run on eight 64-bit processors and will be able to analyze millions of positions per second. Programmers are using ultra-fast games against rival programs, Rybka, HIRACS, Deep Fritz and others to create "an extensive opening book that will leave Delta a fraction of a pawn ahead when it leaves book." Combined with extensive alpha-beta pruning and endgame logic, VersaGlobe hopes to beat any competitor, human or machine, with a low probability of draws.
VersaGlobe International Limited has enlisted the help of top chess players and programmers to create the world's strongest chess playing program, Deep Delta. After historic man vs. machine chess matches Kasparov vs. Deep Blue, Kramnik vs. Fritz and Kasparov vs. Fritz it is no surprise that chess programs beat world class grandmasters. Now, with artificial intelligence, opening books with millions of positions, multiple processors, endgame databases, and advanced tablebases, computer programs compete against one another for chess supremacy.
Two advances that Deep Delta hopes to deliver to computer chess are very unique novelties (uncommon moves) in chess openings that are weighted to Delta's playing style, and dedicating processes and threads to advanced tactical sacrifices. "Using traditional openings got us draw after draw, when we began varying our openings it opened up a brand new world of computer chess." This could lead to a lot more interesting and dynamic games between computers with game theory and counter-tactics.
David Christopher, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President, said: "We hope to code a chess program to think tactically instead of only using raw calculation. If we can achieve this, it may lead to the development of programs for games that computers are less adept at, such as poker, go, and even real time economics and market simulation."

Never heard of it. Considering the website is only single page long, I'm bit skeptical regarding the activity of that project, maybe they are only enthusiastic about the idea and the scope of the project, and are still looking for some people to join their group and take part in team work.

hehe. Also note that LearningLemming is "able to analyze millions of positions a second" and plays games against rivals to create "an extensive opening book that will leave" LearningLemming "a fraction of a pawn ahead when it leaves book" and has been doing so since well before the generation of this web page. I would think most programmers interested/able to help create a "World Class Multiprocessor Chess Engine" would find this website annoying and are off working on their own projects. Why the would want to do all the work and give all the credit to "David Christopher, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President" is beyond me (unless David is actually a wizard programmer who is doing most the work which is not the impression he gives).Deep Delta is being designed to run on eight 64-bit processors and will be able to analyze millions of positions per second. Much hype, and too many unanswered questions.
Is the resulting program to be distributed as open source?
Is the resulting program to be distributed as an executable?
What platforms are targeted?
Is this a commercial effort? (If yes, then there are many more questions about payment, royalties, etc.)

It sounds like either an ill-timed April's fool joke, or a crock.WuShock wrote:Any additional info on this ??

I like how the contact information is a gmail account. Where can I invest! Who should I send my money too? This sounds like a globally diversified company on the rise
