CCRL FRC rating list with Stockfish 1.6

Post by Graham Banks »

The FRC (chess960) ratings list has been updated for Stockfish 1.6 x64
It shows an 87 ELO gain over Stockfish 1.5.1 and takes second place on the ratings list, just ahead of Shredder 12

The pure list is the one I encourage people to look at, link below

http://www.computerchess.org.uk/ccrl/40 ... _pure.html

All games were played under Shredder 12 GUI, and Stockfish installed and ran perfectly

It would seem that this result is compatible with others posted. Stockfish 1.6 looks to be an improvement of between 80-100 ELO. 8-)
Well done to Marco and Joona (and Tord of course).

Ditto.

Summary of the top quest:

Three months ago, Rybka was alone on the top. And my impression was
it will be unreacheable within next two years. F12 and DS12 that were out
in early October have shown improvements, but they were not enough
for the first place.

Now, we have two more --free!-- engines joining R on the top.

I am now really puzzled whether R4, N4.1 and DF12 could strike back?

Best,

After all these sensations of 2009, we need to expect the unexpectable for 2010.
