Only fourth place? I'd consider it in TOP3.

Best,
BTW, Ingo, I think you should exchange Robbo g2 for e4. It's stonger according to a lof of testing results coming from „obvious chess forum“

I see no evidence that e4 is stronger than g3 based on testing that I read in this forum so I see no reason for testing e4 and not g3 andperejaslav wrote:Actually, 3rd if we will throw out Rybka 3 w32beachknight wrote:Only fourth place? I'd consider it in TOP3.

I understood that there is a little difference between g3 and g2 that is only about time management that is not very important in the specific conditions.

Re: Stockfish 1.6 added to the IPON List
Hello
I will not run around and test every Robbo which is thrown out daily. Either they come to a "resonable" relase scheme ... or not. I will not test any Robbo for quite some time as it might happen what happened with g2/g3. As soon as I start to test something they trow out a new version and simply claim that this now is of course much better. In fact with some serious testing (not only vs one engine) there is very little progress in all Robbos.

I fully support that assuption aditionaly I want to point out that there is a ponder bug in e4 which prevented testing.Uri Blass wrote: I see no evidence that e4 is stronger than g3 based on testing that I read in this forum so I see no reason for testing e4 and not g3 and
