Some questions:

1)Who is the author of IvanHoe?

2)How many names of engines are claimed to be stronger than Rybka3?(at least on one cpu)

I read the following names

1)IPPOLIT
2)RobboLito
3)Igorrit
4)Firebird
5)IvanHoe

The sequence:
Ippolit -> Robbolito -> Igorrit -> IvanHoe
is the progression of names for the same engine in sequence from the oldest to the most recent.

I think that Firebird is someone else's fork of the same source code, but I am not sure about it.

I know not better than you about all this stuff.
There is one thing I am convinced in:

Ippolit (1st edition for Windows with 50 ELO above Rybka) Succeeded by >> RobboLito (Linux edition incl. Robbobases - something like bitbases for Toga and Scorpio) Succeeded by >> Igorrit (just RobboLito «multicore» i. e. MP version) Succeeded by >> IvanHoe (Igorrit with implemented «searchmoves» and «muliPV» features)

Hi there,

I don't have a 64 system and sofar Igorrit 0.086v7 (releasedate yesterday) yet performs best in my series of Nunn2 testmatches

Centrino Dual Core T4300, 2100Mhz,
Blitz 4m+2s, Nunn2 Testset Matches

1 Rybka 3 32-bit 2CPU - +19/=20/-11 58.00% 29.0/50
2 Igorrit 0.086v6 w32 2CPU - +11/=20/-19 42.00% 21.0/50

1 RobboLito 0.09 w32 1 CPU +10/=34/-6 54.00% 27.0/50
2 Rybka 3 32-bit 2 CPU +6/=34/-10 46.00% 23.0/50

1 Igorrit 0.086v7_w32 2CPU +16/=26/-8 58.00% 29.0/50
2 Rybka 3 32-bit 2 CPU +8/=26/-16 42.00% 21.0/50

grts Bram, enjoy the revolution

and there is also "Tankist" somewhere between them?!

Has someone already drawn a genealogy tree, including versions where branches are going off?

«Tankist» is a cheap fake, slightly reworked RobboLito and also from the unknown author nicknamed Alex Kutuzoff

All engines «IPP serie» derive from Ippolit wiki but not the «Tankist» 8-)

Tankist w32 only
So he can't be as strong as Robbo 0.09 x64 for instance
IvanHoe has PV-variation it makes Ivan the greatest analysing program in the world untill Rybka 4 not released yet :P
