Comments:

Welcome to the first round of this swiss event!

First; the hardware has been slightly modified. Instead of 4009 MHz, the
CPU is now running at 4021 MHz but with slightly lower memory speed
but increased Uncore speed. The result seems to be more stable and at
least as fast calculation. You can click the text in the top link where it says
"Intel i7 920 @ 4021 MHz" to get a screenshot if you are interested in such
things.

The games and results are presented together with a diagram showing
the position on the board after white's 15th move, along with the evaluation
of both sides during their 15th moves. This will be standard in all rounds.
This is done to see how big a difference the course of the game can take
when all engines start from the same position.

Feel free to make a few comments here and of course, download the PGN
file in the bottom to play through the games.

This round white scored 7.5 points and black scored 8.5 points, out of 16.

To get more specific about this round, a few upsets that I noticed:

Daydreamer seemed to have no problems crushing Scorpio. Nice progress, Aaron!

The Baron held the monster Shredder 12 to a draw. Well done!

Maybe not a huge upset, but the rather old Hiarcs 10 held Zappa to a
draw as well.

I guess this was all of the "upsets" this round.

See you all again next round!
