Longer post in General Topics, but the server is back up running on a dedicated server in London with a static IP and subdomain name on a gigabit connection.
Hostname is: oics.olympuschess.com
Port: 5000
This should alleviate problems with connectivity since I was hosting it at home. All accounts, ratings, history, and custom bots have been moved to the new machine. I've also updated the software for mamer.

Re: OICS Back up on dedicated server with static IP and doma
I've noticed a hiccup when using the domain name. It'll take a couple days to propagate out. Seems like it sometimes resolves to the correct IP, and at others to my web server. So till the world DNS flushes for a day or two, try connecting via IP.
Thanks!

I tried logging as guest and it looks like you have an arasanjs account - I assume this is Arasan, not clear what version. But I don't see this in the statistics pages.

This morning around 8:00 AM CEST I tried to login at IP: 173.254.28.66, but the server seems to be down. Is this the right IP-address?jshriver wrote:I've noticed a hiccup when using the domain name. Just added it last night, Arasan 15 in winboard mode.
The info for it and Rodinjs hasn't been added to the website yet.

178.79.171.150 is the correct address. For some reason my webserver ip is getting propagated out. It should be corrected.

Hi,
How can I register at your FICS? The method described in "help register" seems to be non functional.

This was working well for a while - I was logged on for a couple of days or so participating in tournaments. Then at the end of a tournament I logged off. Now when I log back in, it does not include me for new tournaments.

Just succeeded in manually joining the next one. Maybe it will pick me up automatically from this point on.
