Fritz 11 update - March 5, 2008

Post by AdminX »

Well there is another new Fritz 11 update. This one is dated March 5, 2008. I found it by chance when clicking the query update option in Fritz 11 on the Playchess server. I did have to uninstall the previous service pack before I could update to the new version.

And the engine? Old Fritz 11 or the new and famous F11.1

How do I check that?? As far as I can tell it's still Fritz 11, per the engine display.

Some differences have been posted here (german)

Right click and properties should show the version of the file

If the date of the file is 06/11/2007, then it is Fritz 11

The engine is the one on the right.

But I see that you are using Windows Vista, then the version of the file does not appear, who kowns why. In previous Windows, should be something like 11.0.0.0 or 11.1.0.0

From the date, 11/6/1007, it is Fritz 11, not updated so with this last service pack :(

But will there be a deep Fritz 11?

Fritz 11 is already the third or second strongest program behind Rybka. So deep Fritz 11 (if there will be one) has the chance to be the second strongest program and very close to Rybka in strength.
